What is Tanning?

Our body has a natural shield against UV radiations of sun that is called Tanning. It protects our skin and stop the radiations to enter our body as a shield or protective layer.

What happens when skin gets Tanned?

A chemical in our body is produced which is called Melanin is produced due to excessive exposure of our skin to UV rays of sun which causes a Tan.

Sun Tan is effecting most of the people who work in the sun or travel to long distant destinations every day. Specially in summers, when the temperature is really high it affects skin and the tone becomes dull and dark.

How to Remove Sun-Tan at home

One of the best way to remove sun-tan at home includes a mask made by all the natural ingredients. Here are those along with their benefits.

Ingredients:

i. Gram Flour (1 tablespoon)

For Centuries, gram flour or besan is used for de-tanning. It purifies and cleanse your skin tone to at its best. Also, it helps in removing all the acne of your face by deep cleaning the pores of the skin.

ii. Curd (1 tablespoon)

As we know curd is enriched with lactic acid. Lactic acid acts as a bleaching agent for skin to remove all the dark dead cells of skin. Curd is full of protein, calcium and vitamin D which is very good for skin tone, Also, its anti-inflammatory properties help in reducing acne.

iii. Turmeric (1/4 teaspoon)

Turmeric is well known for having anti-ageing properties. It repairs the damaged skin and nourish it. The anti-inflammatory qualities targets the pores of the skin.

iv. Honey (1 teaspoon)

Honey is full of anti-oxidants, natural moisturizer and soothers which give glow to skin. It open the pores of skin and deeply clean, unclog the dead cells.

v. Rose Water (1 tablespoon)

Rose Water acts as a toner for skin. It balances the pH of skin. It also remove dryness and excessive oil by balancing both.

Make Mask

Mix all the ingredients until a thick paste is formed.

How and When to use this mask

Apply it on tanned areas, use circular motion to massage the skin and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes. Then, rinse it with fresh cold water.

This mask can be used 3 times a week or everyday too depends upon the intensity of tan.
